Hi, I am not good putting things into words and I certainly dont want to give any spoilers.
I have read virtually all Mark's books and enjoyed them all. This book in many ways for me surpasses his previous works. This is a sequal to his Yesterday's Tomorrow book. Percy has been single and now trouble enters his life. Here we read how Percy, Tyler and Daniel face challenges in this book. Pressure builds how do they handle it. I find this book has a bit of everything in it with violence, suspense etc in it.
I would definitely recommend the reader to read Yesterday's Tomorrow first to get the full background. This book is an excellent read and the only trouble I had with it was I read it all in one go and it finished too soon for me. I just got so involved it was like I was there.
What are the other books in this series? Loved the book.
I like Roeder's novels. They are not as crisp as I'd like but always good story lines and good characters. I could hope another story for these characters is in he works a good story is when you want to see them return. Roeder's words and quite apt.
Wow this was a very loving and caring story. I would love to of had someone like Tyler when I was in High School or even some of his friends. The story kept you on the edge of your seat on what would happen next.
I hope there is a sequel. ). Hint Hint
I enjoyed reading this book. That fact does not surprise me because I have yet to read a Mark Roeder book that I did not find enjoyable. But don't take my word for it; read it yourself -- you won't be sorry!
This is the best in the three volume trilogy of stories about this particular group of characters, Daniel, Percy Caspian And Tyler. It's the middle book but it takes you to more places, gives more surprises, and definitely fills the bill of what this YA author is all about. Believable characters who are three dimensional and a plot that carries the rear very smoothly through it's many twists and turns. Definitely worth the time (and money).
Great to continue the story line and drift off in another place with great characters. I love happy endings but also the roads bumps in between. For less than a ticket to a movie one can float away in story about gay life and love.
