This is the second book in the Xoe Meyers series. The book picks up a little after the first one. Xoe and her friends are adjusting to living and surviving in the paranormal world; yet, that doesn't stop Lela from asking for Xoe's help in formulating a pack with Xoe as the Alpha. However, before they are able to get their plans off the ground paranormal begin going missing including Lela.

As far as this book goes, I loved each moment of it. Xoe was her usual witty self, much to my happiness, and her voice continued to shine through the narration (yay!!!). The characters were delightful to read about as well. My only complaint is that it was a bit predictable that the newbie werewolf in the pack would turn on them. I just wish I could have read more about him so I'd feel more betrayed like Xoe and her group. I think that expounding on that particular faucet of the book would have greatly helped build that sense of trust before the blow of the betrayal.

Anyways, I'm excited for the third book because I can't wait to find out what happens between Xoe and Alexondre and what happens between Xoe and Chase, though it seems like Roethle was hinting at a potential love triangle.

This book was well authored and she did a great job of telling the story so that it kept the readers attention. The story line was easy to follow and filled with interesting details. The author did a relatively good job of keeping the story line going with just enough suspense to keep it interesting but retaining the element of surprise. Good plot, good story.
This is the second book in the Xoe Meyers series. The book picks up a little after the first one. Xoe, is building relationships with Chase, the rest of her friends and her father and facing new challenges. The author seems to be more comfortable with the characters and there are less grammatical errors. I actually enjoyed this book more than the first. I highly recommend this entire series!
I had read the first one for free over a year ago and didn't really feel like paying what they wanted for the second book, but the other day I seen it was marked down to .99. It could have been longer but it was a good read. I found myself chuckling several times throughout it. Xoe can so crack me up with some of her comments! She's met her dad the demon finally and has also agreed to let him help her learn to use her powers, so I may get the next book.
I found this book to be a good sequel to her first book in this series. So often the second book is a big let down but this wasn't the case with Accidental Ashes. The book carried on with the core characters from the first book and added some new characters to spice up the story. I'm not sure where she is going with the third book but it was so nice that the first and second books were stand alone stories and not cliff hangers. I would recommend this book as either a stand alone read or as a follow on to the first book.
The characters and the story are really getting more personal, you feel closer to them all! I like the two new characters, Alexondre and Chase, plus Xoe's pack are getting closer, too. Excitement and adventure, with a sweet love story developing makes this a fun read.
Another successful novel from the author and, in my opinion,a very successful novel at that. my only complaint is that Jason wasn't in it a whole lot ( he's one of my favorites. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to hope for more books with the fabulous duo... though, I could also sense some chemistry between xoe and Chase. Is it a love triangle in xoe 's future that I see? Hmm, I guess I'll find out later.

There was one problem I had with these books. Far to many times I felt like the books were more about who was wearing what and how rooms were decorated. It seemed every time someone changed their clothing we had to read about what they were wearing and the colors That really doesn't interest me and if it did I would buy a fashion book. I also wasn't interested in reading that Vox had a purple bathroom and she had green pillows. More than once we were told about the furnishings and their colors. It would have been fine had it only been once or even twice but it was more than that in each book. I think I only read twice about the yellow kitchen.. Thank God...
